Vegas Club Tip # 3: Pool Parties

It's heating up on the Las Vegas strip & you know what that means... POOL PARTIES! Why wait for night time to get the party started when there are so many dayclubs offering big name DJs, dancing, and drinks? All the fun of a nightclub in the comfort of your swimsuit. Here's what you need to know...

  1. Get on the list in advance. The guestlists are turned in the night before, so showing up at the entrance expecting to get right in will put a serious damper on your plans. Contact a reputable promoter in advance to help plan your weekend.
  2. If you want a place to sit, expect to pay for a lounge chair or daybed. Prices range from $50 on up to $2500 for a cabana.
  3. Bring & wear sunscreen. Drinks start flowing and people forget to protect their skin. That sexy strapless dress isn't so hot with lobster burnt bikini strap outlines. Raccoon eyes are only a good conversation starter at the office during ski season, not on the dancefloor.
  4. Drink lots of water. For every cocktail, follow up with an ice water. Dehydration will end your day in a seriously bad way. You don't wanna be that guy, rolling out on a stretcher or in a wheelchair.
I also suggest leaving some time in your schedule for a disco nap. The sun really takes it out of you, so if you expect to make it through the night catch a few zzz's at the hotel before heading out to dinner. Cheers!
